Get to Know You
It's important for us to learn the needs and concerns you have in order to provide the best service possible for you.
Service Scope
We will do an in home walk thru together where we will establish your home's needs. Then, create and agree upon your specialized service contract and frequency of visits.
Collect
We collect keys, security codes and all pertinent information to serve you. All sensitive information is uploaded to our secure cloud system.
What is Home Watch?
A home watch is not a home inspection, but a visual review of a home or property, looking for obvious issues present at that time.
Home Watch is not a property manager or house sitter. We provide a value-added service for those needing a non-biased party to provide a snapshot of the property’s current condition.
Why do I need Home Watch?
Minnesotans are active people who like to maximize their lives. Whether escaping winter, off on an adventure, up to the lake, or gone for work, people are always on the move. Unfortunately, we also know the weather and environment around us is constantly changing. The outside is always trying to get in.
Key considerations are break-ins, squatters, water leaks, electrical problems, insects, animals, mold, and storms, to name a few. Even if you have a trusted neighbor or relative nearby, having a professional acting on your behalf is a much better and more effective option. When the unexpected happens, we are your “boots on the ground”.
Preventive maintenance and preparation can help many problems from arising. But the elephant in the room is you live in Minnesota. The truth is, despite our best intentions, we have limited control of the outside coming in. Property issues should be handled as soon as possible to minimize damage. If ignored, these simple problems can cost thousands and thousands of dollars the longer they are left unaddressed.
About Us
Nate and Amber have been married for over 24 years and have been serving clients in individual business services and together for over 30 years. Together they lead The Boen Team which helps individuals and families purchase, sell, and invest in residential real estate with Counselor Realty. Nate graduated from U of M- Duluth in 1991 and started his real estate career immediately, finding his niche through serving others. Amber graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1993. Amber’s previous experience includes serving corporate security clients through Sonitrol, and with Time Warner Telecom in the communication industry. For the last 16 years Amber has been serving women in the fashion industry providing styling services tailored to each individual client’s needs.
Nate has done thousands of interior and exterior visual inspections on properties. Nate has attended over 800 home inspections with his clients throughout his 33-year real estate career. The Boen’s ownership of vacation/investment properties over the last 20 years further qualifies them to understand the ins and outs of how to review properties. We are here to provide an independent unbiased review of your property for you, your family, friends, or coworkers. Too many people get sold services or expensive repairs they may not need, and most often not aware of potentially a more effective and affordable solution. Get the peace of mind you deserve. Honesty, integrity, and character still matter.
